Thank you for everyone’s patience at this time. Updates are updating again and business will run as usual. The business infrastructure and its leadership is going to change over the coming weeks so please bare with us in this journey. This week we will update some sketches to go along with this week’s updates. There will be no single sketch update day this month. The next sketch update will be scheduled next month and once every month as usual.

To honor the passing of our friend and Webmaster; Kevin, we will put a hold on updating this week.

I apologize for the situation and we hope to return to our normal business soon.

I just got some sad news that our webmaster has passed away while vacationing in Thailand. He’s been a great friend and partner to me as well as to the family he created here with the Xposh network. I’m still in shock over it.  Much of the details are still unknown to me but I’m hoping to get more information soon. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Here is what I know so far about what happened to Kevin.  There was some sort of boat involved, I don’t know how big.  He fell off and didn’t know how to swim. His girlfriend, who only speaks Chinese, tried in vain for half an hour to tell people that Kevin was lost. Three hours later his body washed up on shore. His friend and roommate, Jaguar (artofjaguar) should be arriving in Thailand about now to help retrieve the body. Kevin’s brother is on his way to Thailand now and should arrive there around midnight, Thailand time.  They will then transport the body back the the United States.  Jaguar and Kevin’s girlfriend are both Chinese nationals, so it might be difficult for them to obtain visas for travel to the US. However, we’re hoping that everything works out.  I’ve been in contact with Jaguar and Kevin’s parents and I will let you all know more info as I get it.  Thank you for all the love and prayers that you’ve been sending our way.  I will let the family know that you all cared so much for Kevin.  Without Kevin, there never would have been a JABcomix.com.  He was a visionary in this business and he helped many artist get their start.  I owe him everything and I will always cherish his memory.

5/29 08:45 AM: I just got an update from Jaguar that Kevin’s brother is heading back to the US with Kevin’s body.  They left Thailand 3 hours ago.

About the Webmaster:

To be honest, our relationship has always been professional. It was never more than that. We never hung out or had a beer or anything of that sort. I do regret not meeting up with him at this year’s AdultExpo and  I do feel petty for not agreeing to be part of his Multipass Idea.  That being said, I owe the guy everything. Without him there would be no JKRcomix. Thank you Webs for everything you’ve done for me, for our staff, for just everything. May you rest in peace.
